Agents that introduce people
Every guest gets an AI agent that finds who they should meet before the doors open. An experiment in how strangers actually connect.
How it runs
- BeforeGuests fill in a short profile: what they're working on, who they want to meet.
- MatchingEach guest's agent talks to the others and suggests three people.
- IntroductionsBoth sides say yes before anyone is introduced.
- At the eventPeople arrive knowing who to find.
What to know
- It's opt-in, and the data is deleted after the event.
- Agents never contact anyone without the person's yes.
- It works best with a hundred guests or more.
Good for
Conferences and community events where meeting people is the point.
Not for
Events where guests already know each other.
Questions planners ask
Is this a dating app for conferences?
No. Introductions are about work, and both sides agree before anything happens.
What happens to the data?
It's used only for matching and deleted after the event.
How good are the matches?
As good as the profiles. Short, specific answers make the best introductions.
Thinking of doing this?
Borrow the idea, it's yours. If you'd like a hand, or just a second opinion on whether it suits your group, write to me. I produce ideas like this one at Sorry, No Polar Bears, a Helsinki studio I co-run.
